Plenty of Demand for Water Conflict Services Launched eighteen months ago, Aqua Engineering’s new Water Conflict Services is proving to fill a much-needed niche. From agricultural ditch companies struggling with urbanization, to conservancy district boards trying to work out better ways to communicate, or environmental groups wanting to build bridges with farm groups over the 2007 Farm Bill, a number of clients are finding our services helpful. This graphic designed by vice president MaryLou Smith reflects our water conflict philosophy. She says “When it comes to water, we need to move from positions of black or white, or even the compromise of gray. What’s needed is creative solutions—collaboratively developed solutions that come in purple, turquoise, even chartreuse!” |

Stephen Smith, JD Leonard Travel to Jeddah,
Saudi Arabia Stephen Smith and JD Leonard traveled to Saudi Arabia in late December 2006. They conducted a rapid assessment of the City's current irrigation systems, control, and water use for the purpose of making recommendations. Over eleven days Steve and JD met with the municipal personnel and toured many of the City's parks, medians, and famous roundabouts (one of which is pictured here). Despite the "rapidly assess" nature of the schedule, Steve and JD were able to enjoy the scenery and the hospitality bestowed upon them by their hosts. |
